World’s Greatest Obituary

by Jeff Abbott on September 23, 2008

The following obituary appeared this weekend in the Dallas Morning News. It’s not been altered or hit with Photoshop, and is printed as it appeared:
I would have liked to have known Bruce; I think he must have been a hoot.My condolences to his family and friends on their loss.

My wife’s favorite show is Wheel of Fortune. Whenever a contestant is introduced, he/she is married to the most (you pick the adjective) beautiful, attractive, supportive husband/wife in the world. You get the drift. Just once I’d love to see one of them look into the camera and say something like, “I’m married to the biggest louse who doesn’t know the meaning of faithfulness and is stingy.”
Some how I sense that ol’ Bruce would have done that. The world is poorer for his loss.
