Another Update on Travis

by Jeff Abbott on December 14, 2008

Earlier this year I wrote about my old friend Travis’s fight against non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a very serious form of cancer. The good news is that he’s doing much better–he got through his chemo, and his immune system is slowly rebuilding.
Travis wrote an affecting blog about going through chemo in isolation (away from his wife and infant daughter). But he’s been taking a break from the blog while he recovers. If you or anyone you know is facing cancer, Travis’s blog is a must-read.
I recently shared some news with him about the next book, TRUST ME–a book where Travis was a big help to me in research–and he wrote about it here.
You’re welcome, Travis, but I owe you the bigger thanks: for being such an amazing example of courage under fire.

I’ll send the link to my husband’s best friend who recently survived an aggressive cancerous brain tumor. Against all odds and doctor’s predictions, he’s back at work and has even returned to his studies! He’ll be interested.
Miracles DO still happen and I’m glad Travis is one of them!
