Apple: The Military’s Newest Weapon

by Jeff Abbott on April 21, 2009

I think it’s known that I’m an Apple fan. Newsweek talks about how the iPod Touch is becoming a critical tool on the streets, fighting the insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan–through apps that help connect intelligence about locales, provide translation software, and video and audio to help troops connect with each other and those who can help them in their missions.

This actually makes me feel better about the character in the book I’m currently writing having a very useful iPhone–with some custom applications.

Whoa, very cool! I’ll have to tell my dad that. He was playing with my iPod Touch yesterday and said he “wasn’t sold.” :P
