A Great Query Letter

by Jeff Abbott on July 21, 2009

Stepping aside from TRUST ME for a moment, here’s a shout-out for aspiring novelists. Literary agent and all-around good guy Nathan Bransford posts an example of a sterling query letter. (Query letters are what you write to approach a literary agent for representation of your work–basically, a sales letter to get the agent interested in reading your work.)

I get asked from time to time what makes for a good query letter (I haven’t written one in years, so I’m not the best resource) but now I can point to this recent example. Thanks Nathan and congratulations Lisa Brackmann.
